This is a pretty stressful time, so we apologize in advance for adding one more thing for you to be stressed about.

That thing is “downballot roll-off.”

What does that mean exactly? Basically it’s when some voters only fill out their ballot for top-of-ticket candidates (high profile races you definitely know about like Senate, House, etc.) but then leave the offices further down the ballot blank. [Our friends at Sister District]([link removed]) have been analyzing this phenomenon and found that Democrats voted downballot far less Republicans – which means that more Republicans are winning downballot!

These downballot offices don’t get as much attention, but we’re out to change that.
