This is a pretty stressful time, so we apologize in advance for adding one more thing for you to be stressed about.

That thing is “downballot roll-off.”

What does that mean exactly? Basically it’s when some voters only fill out their ballot for top-of-ticket candidates (high profile races you definitely know about like Senate, House, etc.) but then leave the offices further down the ballot blank. Our friends at Sister District have been analyzing this phenomenon and found that Democrats voted downballot far less Republicans – which means that more Republicans are winning downballot!

These downballot offices don’t get as much attention, but we’re out to change that.
