What's New in March
Get a more accurate picture of your email open rates
We have adjusted some of our email metrics to account for inflated open rates caused by Apple's Mail Privacy Protection Program.
We are now considering opens from Apple’s Mail app to be machine opens, and are tracking these separately from other actual opens that are triggered by a recipient manually clicking on your email.
In Targeted Email, the Email Test Case Comparison, and Email Comparison Reports, we now have the following metrics:
-Open Count/Rate: This is the existing count/rate. It will only count actual opens.
-Machine Opens Count/Rate: This is a new metric. It will only count machine opens.
-Total Open Count/Rate: This is a new metric. It will be a count of both actual opens and machine opens.
Streamline your disclosure filing with the Independent Expenditure Tracker
Track your independent expenditures with an easy-to-read report page where you can see all related transactions and activity.
We’re also introducing a new field, Internal Project Name. You can use it to link activities across designations, disbursements, or debts for your specific business initiatives.

Use correct, complete, and properly spelled names when talking to supporters
We’ve released a number of improvements that help you properly address your contacts:
-Increased character length for all name fields
-Support of all diacritics on all Latin Extended characters
-Improved internal matching logic to make sure that supporters are addressed correctly
Important reminders
Routine server maintenance will occur on March 19th-21st between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM Eastern. You may experience approximately 10 to 15 minutes of degraded system performance during this period. While the interruption is typically limited to a quarter of an hour, we may need up to a full hour to account for contingencies.
In addition to routine patching, we will perform some network infrastructure firmware updates as part of the Saturday portion of the work (March 19) starting shortly after 6 am Eastern. Though the active work period will likely be much shorter, please prepare for up to two hours in which you may experience degraded system performance.
