Now that the 2019 DSA-LA Annual Convention has come and gone, our chapter has set its priorities and is ready to get to work. Our chapter has chosen to work towards a Green New Deal in Los Angeles <[link removed]>, supporting the Bernie Sanders campaign <[link removed]>, and ensuring that we organize for all Angelenos <[link removed]>. PROPOSAL FOR A DSA-LA TO RENT A CHAPTER OFFICE SPACE

In addition to talking about our new chapter wide political priorities and updated bylaws, we will also be debating the membership proposal for DSA-LA to pursue renting  a Chapter office space. At the branch meetings, the general membership will have the opportunity to debate the proposal. CANDIDATES Q&A SESSION WITH NITHYA RAMAN FOR CD4

The Electoral Politics Committee has voted to recommend Nithya Raman, candidate for City Council District 4, for endorsement to the chapter. As part of this process, the Electoral Politics Committee is holding a Q&A session with Nithya so that the broader membership can ask her questions about her candidacy and platform. Nithya's questionnaire can be viewed here <[link removed]> and members can submit questions for the Q&A here <[link removed]>.  Please RSVP <[link removed]> to the event in order to receive access to the live stream of the event. 

Q&A Session with Nithya Raman on Friday, November 22nd at UTLA <[link removed]>

Following the Q&A session, members will have the opportunity to submit statements in favor or against the proposal for DSA-LA to endorse Nithya Raman for  City Council District 4. The voting period for this endorsement proposal will take place from Sunday, December 1st to midnight Sunday, December 8th.
