Friend --
Now that the 2019 DSA-LA Annual
Convention has come and gone, our chapter has set its priorities and
is ready to get to work. Our chapter has chosen to work towards a
Green New Deal in Los
Angeles, supporting the Bernie Sanders
campaign, and ensuring that
we organize for all
Angelenos. For a review of
our Annual Convention, please check out our blog post.
CHAPTER BRANCH MEETINGS TOMORROW
Learn how you can get involved in
our Chapter’s priority work by attending one of our three branch
meetings, tomorrow!
If you are a new member, feel free to stop
by early to say hello to experienced DSA-LAers and learn how to get
plugged into our work.
Also, please help make our meetings
accessible to DSA-LA members who are parents. Email [email protected]
if you are interested in helping to do a shift of Child Watch at the
branch meeting you are interested in attending.
PROPOSAL FOR A DSA-LA TO RENT A CHAPTER OFFICE
SPACE
In addition to talking about our new chapter
wide political priorities and updated bylaws, we will also be debating
the membership proposal for DSA-LA to pursue renting a
Chapter office space. At the branch meetings, the general membership
will have the opportunity to debate the proposal. You can learn more about the proposal,
voting timeline, and submit
your proposed amendments or statements in favor or against the
proposal by visiting our
website here.
