Hi,

As a member of Congress, it is my job to ensure that our elected leaders are held accountable and uphold their duty to our Constitution.

Last week we witnessed an angry mob attack the Capitol in an effort to block the certification of the presidential election — efforts that the President encouraged.

So today, when the House votes on articles of impeachment against the president, I will be voting in favor of impeachment.

We must set a precedent that no president — no matter their political party — can get away with encouraging and inciting violence against the government.

I have always remained laser-focused in my dedication to serving my constituents and to the people of Minnesota.

It’s because of my strong Minnesota values that I know Congress must act to uphold our duty to protect our country from further damage.
