Are you an active member of DSA? Would you like to see socialism in our lifetime? Do you love to organize? We need you to run <[link removed]> for the Metro Detroit DSA Steering Committee! BIPOC, women, and non-binary members are especially encouraged to run.
You can declare your interest in multiple Officer Positions, however if you are elected you can only serve in one Officer Position or as an At-Large member.
Steering Committee terms are one year. The Steering Committee meets once a month on the third Sunday of the month. To run, complete this form <[link removed]> by Wednesday, May 27 at 11:59 pm.
You must be a member of DSA in good standing for at least three months prior to the application deadline to be eligible to run. For information on the responsibilities for each role, see Article V in our new Bylaws <[link removed]>.

At our May General Meeting we voted unanimously to endorse Rashida Tlaib <[link removed]> for re-election in MI-13. At the same meeting, we also voted to endorse Abraham Aiyash <[link removed]>, who is running for Michigan House of Representatives in district 4, representing Hamtramck and parts of Detroit.
