First elected to Congress in 2006, I have worked tirelessly to improve the lives and opportunities of constituents in Brooklyn’s Ninth Congressional District, which includes Brownsville, Crown Heights, East Flatbush, Flatbush, Midwood, parts of Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Sheepshead Bay Gerritsen Beach, Madison, Ocean Hill, and Flatlands, Prospect-Lefferts Gardens and Windsor Terrace. Alongside my colleagues, I worked to ensure the Affordable Health Care for America Act, the signature achievement of President Barack Obama’s historic presidency not only passed but provided coverage for 96% of Americans. I worked steadfastly to narrow income inequality, support small businesses, and help Brooklyn homeowners. I introduced bills, such as, the Adjusting for Income Disparity Act to create a new tax break for low-income families, and introduced the Save Our Neighborhoods Act, granting homeowners facing foreclosure new legal rights so they could keep their homes.

Social Security grants the promise of economic security to all Americans

Now, the richest man on the planet is trying to gut it. Dear friend, Don’t be mistaken: I might be a little older than the Social Security system, but I’ve also spent my entire career fighting to keep programs and others just like it working for the American people. And I won’t sit…

House Republicans messed around with our rights — and now, they’re finding out exactly how ready the American people are to fight back. Yvette’s end-of-quarter deadline is in less than 72 hours, and as Chair of Congress’s strongest anti-MAGA xxxxxx, she’s counting on your support…

Illegal, immoral, and unconscionable

The Constitution comes second to Trump’s opinions??
