Hi friend,
I want to give you an inside look at my week. Inside the conversations. Inside the strategy. Inside the work the Congressional Black Caucus is leading right now to stop Republicans from turning chaos into policy and cruelty into law.
Here’s what we’re doing — and why it matters for Brooklyn:
* Implementing Guardrails: We’re pressing for oversight that blocks manufactured shutdowns and protects SNAP, paychecks, and stability for our neighbors.
* Protecting Rights: We are defending voting protections and civil rights enforcement so our communities are not erased by extremists who fear accountability.
* Delivering Resources: We’re fighting for federal investment toward schools, small businesses, housing, and transit, delivering real help for people in this borough.
As Chair of the largest Congressional Black Caucus in history, my charge is clear: we fight forward. From Flatbush to the Capitol, I carry Brooklyn with me, armed with clarity, courage, and a coalition strong enough to meet this moment.
But I know empty promises won’t restore premium tax credits, and rhetoric won’t keep food on the table. Discipline, organizing, and people power will. That is why I am on the floor and in the meetings this week. And why I am asking if you’ll give $20 to help power this work. [[link removed]]

The next fight is already on its way. I intend to meet it with everything I have and with you beside me.
In solidarity,
Yvette D. Clarke
