The first FEC quarterly fundraising deadline of the year is just days away. After the deadline, we – along with every campaign across the country – will have to publicly report our fundraising numbers from the first quarter of the year. Here’s why the numbers on our FEC reports matter:

* Donors and advocacy groups use them to decide which campaigns are worth investing in.

* Potential opponents look at them to gauge which candidates they think they could defeat.

* Strong fundraising at this point in the election cycle allows us to make early investments that will make an exponential impact down the line.
