Organized as a challenge to the Third International Summit on Human Genome Editing, the symposium featured speakers from a range of social justice perspectives: disability rights, reproductive rights and justice, racial justice, environmentalism, and human rights. Protecting legitimate genetic research requires dynamic governance that will close loopholes in regulations and establish a global consensus on oversight and regulation.
