For years, folks in rural Washington have had limited access to hospitals and health care. This affects low-income individuals and forces families to make hard choices -- choices that no child, parent, or sibling should have to grapple with.
We know this all too well. While our community does have access to rural health care, the trip time to access that care can be up to two hours from where we live.
