John —

We have a mid-month fundraising deadline tonight, and I’m going to ask in a moment if you can contribute today. But before I do that, I want to tell you a little bit more about why I’m in this race. [[link removed]]

I am running for Mayor to finish a job I started 30 years ago. Long before I ever had political power or a formal title, I was just a tough Philly mom that refused to accept broken systems.

I repeatedly saw people in power throw their hands up and walk away at the first sight of hard problems. But I vowed to be a different type of leader – someone who works directly with the people, building strong coalitions, and getting results that strengthen our city.

I believe that the purpose of government is to make people’s lives better. And as Mayor, I’m ready to deliver the things that every Philadelphian wants and deserves – safety at home, dignity at work, and a good education for their children.

Can I count on you to pitch in before midnight tonight to help bring this vision to life? We’re only $213 away from smashing this week’s fundraising goal. Your donation could be the one that puts us over the top. [[link removed]]

I’ve never believed that transformative change was impossible, John. Whether it was ensuring safe drinking water for our children or creating an eviction diversion program that kept thousands with a roof over their head — I’ve always known that the power of communities can overcome any challenge that stands in our way.

The establishment politics of old have held this city back for far too long — divesting from our neighborhoods and defunding our schools, libraries, and rec centers in favor of corporations and power brokers pursuing profit at the people's expense. .

At every turn, my work has been done in partnership with everyday people who loved this city but felt let down by the ways that it failed them — by systems that didn’t work and politicians who didn’t care. We all love Philadelphia. And my promise to you is that as Mayor, I will build a Philadelphia that loves you back.

John, can I count on you to pitch in $5 right now to support our vision for a safe, vibrant, thriving Philadelphia? [[link removed]]

Thanks, John. I’m really grateful to stand with you in this battle for our city’s future.
