John — I am running for Mayor to finish a job I started 30 years ago. Long before I ever had political power or a formal title, I was just a tough Philly mom that refused to accept broken systems. I repeatedly saw people in power throw their hands up and walk away at the first sight of hard problems. But I vowed to be a different type of leader – someone who works directly with the people, building strong coalitions, and getting results that strengthen our city. I believe that the purpose of government is to make people’s lives better. And as Mayor, I’m ready to deliver the things that every Philadelphian wants and deserves – safety at home, dignity at work, and a good education for their children. We all love Philadelphia. And my promise to you is that as Mayor, I will build a Philadelphia that loves you back.
