After the tragedy in Buffalo, the first call we made was to the White House demanding the federal government do more to support the community devastated by the heinous attack.
While on the ground, we saw hundreds of cameras and local community leaders doing all they could to help those in pain, but minimal government support during those critical days immediately after the tragedy. Since then, we have pushed the White House to strengthen the government response to better support communities that crippled by acts of gun violence, similar to how they address other disruptive federal emergencies.
Today we are proud to see official White House direction to create such response.
