Journal of CF Highlights Results From Survey on Access and Affordability
The
Journal of Cystic Fibrosis recently published a study ([link removed])
detailing the cost burden associated with cystic fibrosis. The study, commissioned by the Foundation in 2019 and conducted in coordination with George Washington University, surveyed more than 1,800 people in the CF community and showed that two-thirds of people with cystic fibrosis in the U.S. experience debt, food insecurity, or housing issues.

Your idea for a program that serves the CF community ([link removed])
could receive an Impact Grant, which awards up to $10,000 per year for up to two years, to individuals or organizations that benefit and empower the CF community. We encourage you to think big and envision what you would like to see available for the community.

March is Colorectal (Colon) Cancer Awareness Month
People with cystic fibrosis age 40 or older or post-transplant can prevent the risk for colorectal cancer with regular colonoscopy screenings. Regular screenings are an effective way to treat as well as prevent colorectal cancer. The
risk for colorectal cancer ([link removed])
is 5-10 times greater for adults with CF compared to the general population, and even higher for people with CF who have had a solid organ transplant.
