Today is a very important day on the calendar for a number of reasons –
important to both our history and our future as a nation.

As you know, today we celebrate the contributions and legacy of one of the
greatest leaders this country has ever known: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Unfortunately, it’s also the third anniversary of one of the darkest days
in our history: the day Donald Trump was inaugurated as our 45th
