Dear Friend of
Defenders,

The world is burning, and the Trump administration is throwing gas on
the fire.

As the global community wakes up to growing threats from a warming
planet, this administration isn't just choosing to pretend the
climate crisis isn't happening:

Instead, they're making this climate catastrophe worse by
gutting environmental protections. Under their new proposals, fossil
fuel industries would no longer be required to consider the impacts of
oil and gas drilling on the climate.

Stop the betrayal of our planet and wildlife to industry giants:
Support our work to protect wildlife and their habitat with your gift
today!

Friend of
Defenders, as you read this,
violent and deadly weather has become the new norm.

Extended heat waves and widespread droughts have fueled deadly
wildfires in California, Australia and elsewhere. Catastrophic
hurricanes have devastated the Bahamas, Puerto Rico and other fragile
island and coastal habitats. Extreme rainfalls are causing widespread
flooding and sending pollution into our waterways and oceans.

And everywhere animals are paying the price: From orcas to polar
bears, they're suffering from damaged habitat, less food, and
more disease.

But the Trump administration has weakened or revoked dozens of
regulations designed to protect our wildlife and environment,
including the all-important Endangered Species Act - and now
it's taking aim at another bedrock law, the National
Environmental Policy Act.

This is a call to arms. If you love wildlife, stand with us by making
a generous donation to Defenders of Wildlife to fight for these
protections!
