Dear Friend,
This time last year, my country faced a destructive, full-scale invasion from Russia. I had two options -- leave and be safe or stay and help. It was scary, but I didn't hesitate -- even for a moment. I began volunteering with the local government in Borodianka about 35 miles northwest of Kyiv. Then I met the team from Project HOPE. They impressed me because they turned their words turned into action.
I know that you're a Project HOPE supporter, and I am truly grateful. I wanted to send you this message today because, a year later, Russia's assaults are intensifying. While I first joined Project HOPE as a volunteer, I later realized that I could better contribute to Ukraine's recovery by being part of Project HOPE full-time.
