Dear Friend,
This time last year, my country faced a destructive, full-scale invasion from Russia. I had two options — leave and be safe or stay and help. It was scary, but I didn’t hesitate — even for a moment. I began volunteering with the local government in Borodianka about 35 miles northwest of Kyiv. Then I met the team from Project HOPE. They impressed me because they turned their words turned into action.
I know that you’re a Project HOPE supporter, and I am truly grateful. I wanted to send you this message today because, a year later, Russia’s assaults are intensifying. So many people in my country still need help… and HOPE. Please make your best gift — whatever amount is right for you today — to help rebuild lives in Ukraine and other crisis zones like Turkey. Through February 28, our $50,000 matching gift challenge will double your generosity.
While I first joined Project HOPE as a volunteer, I later realized that I could better contribute to Ukraine’s recovery by being part of Project HOPE full-time. As a Program Officer working on renovations, I survey areas that have been attacked, assess what help is most urgent, and direct aid to those who need it most.
