A recent survey by the Illinois Association of Regional Superintendents of Schools found that school districts are struggling to find qualified teachers leading to teacher and staff shortages across the state.

Educators play a vital role in the development of our children and economy, and the challenges facing our education system will have long-standing consequences as students fall behind, lose opportunities for upward mobility and the wealth gap expands.

Lauren understands how critical public education is and believes every child deserves a high-quality education. She’s committed to ensuring that children in IL-14 and across our nation have equal access to high-quality public education at safe and supportive schools with teachers and administrators who have the resources they need to educate and prepare our children for a successful future.

That begins by passing legislation to ensure public schools across the country are equipped with the resources and funding to help our children grow and succeed — but she can’t do this work alone.
