John,

It's been 48 days since the GOP assumed its narrow majority in the House.
They could have spent their time focusing on the issues impacting everyday
Americans and working to improve their lives.

Let's see what they've done instead:

Since last month, the GOP has used its narrow majority to propose a 30%
federal sales tax that would disproportionately harm working class
families and communities, renewed their attacks on reproductive rights,
and have considered holding the economy hostage by refusing to raise the
debt ceiling unless Social Security and Medicare are slashed.

Let us be clear: their cruelty is the point.

Meanwhile, our movement has been organizing around large-scale policies
that will actually improve life for working people across the country —
like a Green New Deal, Medicare for All, and raising the minimum wage,
among others.

I know this future is possible but our progressive coalition can't get
there without your support — [ [link removed] ]if you're able to, will you pitch in
$3 or any amount today to help us fight for policies that
will help everyday families?

In these past two years, we used our House majority for good and today we
can see the results:

* Cut prescription costs and capped the price of insulin
* Made the largest climate investment in history
* Passed comprehensive infrastructure legislation
* Protected marriage equality across the country
* Passed the first gun safety legislation in a generation

While we may no longer have the House majority, our work is not over.
Organizing around the issues that impact our communities the most and
championing the bold progressive answers to these solutions works — and is
key to amplifying the collective voice of our grassroots movement.

Our determination to secure the progressive future we deserve isn't
slowing down. With your support, we can and will do more. [ [link removed] ]Will you
chip in today to stand with our movement and continue our fight for a
better tomorrow?

In solidarity,

Team Jayapal
