Fellow Conservative,
Heritage Action is empowering activists to take action in their state to encourage lawmakers to pass policies that will improve the lives of all who live there.
Heritage Action activists have already played a role in getting policy passed including Iowa’s HF 68 <[link removed]> which created Education Savings Accounts, and South Dakota’s HB 1080 <[link removed]> which bans body altering procedures, such as cross-sex hormones, and surgeries that remove or severely alter healthy body parts.
There are many more bills throughout the states that Heritage Action and our activists are engaging in. Here is a list of some of the legislation we are tracking and current wins.
Battles in the States
Missouri’s SB 4 would ensure greater transparency in schools throughout the state. Schools would be required to publicly post curricula and instructional materials used in the classrooms on their website, giving parents a better idea of what is being taught to their child. It would also:
- Prohibit compelled speech and discrimination by banning the promotion of racially essentialist doctrines and practices, including Critical Race Theory.
- Establish enforcement mechanisms that would withdraw state funding from schools that violate this law
- Create a pathway for parents to sue schools that violate this law
SB 4 would create a more honest and transparent school system. This week Matt Crouch, Heritage Action State Director for Missouri, joined Jeanne Ives with The Real Story to talk about the impact this legislation would have in the Show-Me State. >>>WATCH HERE <[link removed]><<<
Montana
Montana’s S.B. 99 would protect children from the growing threat of gender ideology. Gender ideology confuses people by saying boys can be girls, and girls can be boys.
This ideology is exceptionally damaging to children. When a child is struggling with gender dysphoria, they need compassionate care – not experimental hormones and surgery.
Montana’s SB 99 would:
- Ban genitalia altering surgeries for minors, understanding that they are in fact a form of child mutilation and do not improve <[link removed]> the physical or mental health of the patient
- Ban the administration of puberty blockers that irreparably stunt the development of of a growing child
- Ban the use of hormone treatment therapy, which is experimental and and have long-term damaging effects that have not been fully studied. <[link removed]>
98% of children <[link removed]> who struggle with body dysphoria grow out of it by the time they are 18. They should not be tricked into thinking that permanently damaging medical procedures will benefit them
Oklahoma
Oklahoma has also introduced legislation to protect their young.
Knowing full well that many medical institutions recommend and encourage these mutilation procedures because they are a “big money maker” <[link removed]> and their intentions are far from pure, Governor Stitt of Oklahoma called for the protection of the youth. <[link removed]>
The Oklahoma legislature responded by drafting SB 613, which includes the same provisions as Montana’s SB 99.
SB 613 has passed the OK Senate and it is expected to pass the House and signed into law by Governor Stitt.
Indiana
Many states have been taking strong action <[link removed]> against ESG <[link removed]> investors that use their clients' money to bully business into complying with the work liberal agenda that would have companies hire based on diversity over merit, “green” energy over efficient energy, censorship over free speech, and other woke priorities.
Indiana is now moving on ESG and is working closely with Heritage Action <[link removed]> to draft policy that will require asset managers to use their money to benefit their clients financially, rather than advancing their personal political agendas.
Everyone needs to know, when you go woke, you go broke!
In a Breitbart exclusive <[link removed]>, Jessica Anderson breaks down the threat that ESG poses to the state of Indiana and what needs to be done to defeat it. Specifically, she discussed the passage of H.B. 1008 <[link removed]> and how it would benefit Indiana. Similar strategies can be applied if any state where ESG is taking hold.

Biden's Pro-Censorship Nominee
Biden has nominated Gigi Sohn to be one of the five commissioners on the FCC (an independent federal agency that regulates communications across the country including radio, TV, satellite, and cable). This commission is supposed to be impartial, but Sohn is anything but impartial.
In the past, Gigi Sohn has:
- Openly called major conservative outlets like Fox News “propaganda” <[link removed]>
- Advocated from Sinclair to have its broadcast license revoked
- Publicly supported the Defund the Police movement
- Accused conservatives of voter suppression
And the list goes on.
In a press statement from Heritage Action Executive Director Jessica Anderson wrote
“Gigi Sohn has a long history of anti-conservative bias, radical Left-wing activism, and ethics concerns that should immediately disqualify her from serving in the influential position of FCC Commissioner.”

Gigi Sohn’s nomination hearing is currently waiting to be heard in the Senate Committee on Commerce. Heritage Action is tracking this radical Biden nominee and will keep you posted on the next steps.
