Did you see Selina’s email? I am having the best time watching Selina lead these meetings asking lawmakers to continue partnering with Special Olympics to provide high-quality, cost-efficient health and education initiatives in the United States! It is just so powerful to see athletes –– like Selina –– stand up and lead this movement. Will you stand with us?

COUNT ME IN >> [link removed]

Special Olympics athletes are incredible ambassadors for inclusion. Our athletes are leading the charge and using their voices to advocate for funding to make the world a more inclusive place for today and beyond. But before they can lead, athletes rely on supporters like you and me to get them on the field.

We can’t do it without you,

It’s an exciting week for Special Olympics and me.

As a Special Olympics athlete from the great state of Maine, I am traveling to our nation’s capital to do something important: share our message of inclusion with Members of Congress and ask them to support people with intellectual disabilities (ID).

Tomorrow is Capitol Hill Day in Washington, D.C. and I’ll be joining 250 of my fellow athletes, family members, and supporters to advocate for the rights of people with ID.

Athletes, just like me, will lead hundreds of meetings with Members of Congress and remind them why Special Olympics is so important. Why is it so important? My fellow athletes and I are speaking up about the stigmas we face, especially when it comes to health care and education.

That’s where you come in — to honor Special Olympics athletes! This is your chance to give today and bring the life-changing power of sport to more athletes in your community and around the world. Will you show your support and make a donation today?

Special Olympics gives me a place where I belong, where I can shine, and has given me so much confidence. When you donate to Special Olympics, you’re giving more athletes like me the chance to get out onto the field and show the world what we’re made of.

And that’s what we are doing in Washington D.C. this week. We are showing the leaders of our country just what Special Olympics athletes are made of.
