John, if we want
progress, then we need to do our politics differently.
When Summer ran for her seat in Congress, she knew that she had the odds
stacked against her — systemic racism, millions of dollars in dark Super
PAC money, and status quo politicians — in a recent interview with The
Philadelphia Inquirer, Summer said it best:
“When you’re a Black woman, that ceiling’s not even glass. It’s cement.”

Summer’s journey has been a long, hard one, but it’s through her ability
to convene and gather people in community that she’s had the power of the
people behind her to keep her going. She’s in this for the long run.
Summer has the vision, the drive, and the plan to do politics differently,
but she can’t do it without supporters like you,
John. That’s why we need to raise
$8,524 to stay the course with our monthly fundraising goal before
midnight tomorrow. [ [link removed]- ]If you’re able, will you chip in today so she can
continue the critical work to help our communities and pass progressive
policies?

While it’s popular to say that someone works tirelessly, the truth is,
politics is a marathon, not a sprint, and it does leave its mark. Making
lasting and meaningful change cannot happen unless your heart is fully in
it, and you have a support system you can rely on.
Our fundraising goals are not arbitrary, but strategic and necessary. With
every contribution given to our campaign, you are helping us keep up the
fight for another day. [ [link removed]- ]Whatever you can chip in to help us raise the
$8,524 needed to meet our February fundraising benchmark is greatly
appreciated.
Let’s keep bringing these walls down,
John.
