When Summer ran for her seat in Congress, she knew that she had the odds stacked against her — systemic racism, millions of dollars in dark Super PAC money, and status quo politicians — in a recent interview with The Philadelphia Inquirer, Summer said it best:
“When you’re a Black woman, that ceiling’s not even glass. It’s cement.”

Summer’s journey has been a long, hard one, but it’s through her ability to convene and gather people in community that she’s had the power of the people behind her to keep her going. She’s in this for the long run.
Summer has the vision, the drive, and the plan to do politics differently, but she can’t do it without supporters like you, John.
