Not everyone who is eligible to vote is registered. Not everyone who is registered votes. And not everyone votes in every single election twice a year.”
After registering 20,000 voters in 2022, centering historically disenfranchised Black, Indigenous and other people of color, immigrant communities and the youth in our work, the New Pennsylvania Project is expanding our efforts to include Philadelphia in 2023.

The New Pennsylvania Project was founded in May 2021 to expand Pennsylvania’s electorate, so it reflects the Commonwealth’s demographically changing population. In the next four years, NPP will engage and empower young residents and those living in underrepresented immigrant communities and communities of color. We register communities to vote, provide civic education about the issues that matter in their neighborhoods, and mobilize Pennsylvanians to vote in every election.
