The toll has soared to over 11,000 lives lost and thousands more are in urgent need of assistance as blisteringly cold conditions threaten their livelihoods without shelter. A tragedy of this magnitude will take years to recover.

Friend, these earthquakes are yet another devastating blow to so many vulnerable populations already struggling after years of conflict.

It is a crisis within multiple crises — temperatures are plummeting to below zero leaving hundreds of thousands exposed. Women and children will find themselves particularly at risk of exploitation and abuse should they find themselves once again displaced.
