Daily Docket — Friday, Jan. 27

Here are some updates from today.

The speaker of the Arizona House and president of the Arizona Senate, both Republicans, filed an amicus brief in failed attorney general candidate Abe Hamadeh's (R) election contest. They urge the court to consider new evidence in the case.[link removed]

Here’s what to expect coming up.

On Sunday on Democracy Docket, Maria Teresa Kumar, president and CEO of Voto Latino, writes about what 2022 means for winning the Latino vote in 2024.

On Monday, a New Hampshire court will hold a hearing on a motion to dismiss a lawsuit against a law that requires voters who register for the first time on Election Day and lack a photo ID to vote an affidavit ballot. These ballots won’t count unless the voters provide acceptable ID later on. [link removed]
