❌18 states have never elected a female governor.
❌18 states have never elected a woman to represent them in the U.S. Senate.
❌ Only 3 of the 50 state legislatures have achieved gender parity.

It’s obvious that we still have a lot of work to do to shatter glass ceilings in 2023 and beyond, and commercials are a critical tool to not only help a candidate tell her story on her own terms but also to build excitement around her campaign so she can win.

Hi there,

Did you know that many candidates are in campaign debt before they even announce they’re running for office? There are so many things campaigns need to spend money on before they can even start raising money to fund their races.

One particularly outrageous (but necessary) expense: launch videos.

For women candidates, launch videos are especially important. It gives them a chance to tell their story on their own terms (before misogyny, double standards, and blatant sexism start creeping into the conversation).

Political ads are EXPENSIVE to produce – they can cost tens of thousands of dollars! For many candidates without access to early funding, this is cost-prohibitive – so they often make the tough decision to not have a video at all. These candidates spend the early days of their campaign trying to RAISE money while their opponents are already out meeting with voters and gaining traction.

Needless to say, our candidates often begin their campaigns at an insurmountable disadvantage.

That’s why one of the ways Her Bold Move supports our candidates is by producing these commercials and donating them to campaigns as in-kind contributions.

We're especially proud of this offering because we've found it to be a much more effective use of our support than a standard campaign contribution of $2,900. A well-produced launch video can take a candidate's fundraising efforts so much further.

But here’s the thing: This cannot wait. We need to raise the necessary funds for this program by JANUARY 31st.
