Dear John,
The Council for Citizens Against Government Waste (CCAGW) has just released our annual "Congressional Ratings" [ [link removed] ]! After analyzing 48 votes in the Senate and 80 votes in the House of Representatives on fiscal issues in the first session of the 113th Congress, CCAGW is ready to tell you how your members of Congress stack up.
Every year, CCAGW releases our "Congressional Ratings" to shine a white-hot spotlight on those lawmakers who are standing up for taxpayers and those who are letting them down. We want to let you, the media, and the American public know which members of Congress are consistently voting for smaller, less costly government, and we want to hold accountable those members who time and again vote for more spending, higher taxes, and the big-government policies that are bankrupting America.
CCAGW rates members on a 0 to 100 percent scale and categorizes them as follows: 0-19 percent Hostile; 20-39 percent Unfriendly; 40-59 percent Lukewarm; 60-79 percent Friendly; 80-99 percent Taxpayer Hero; 100 percent Taxpayer Super Hero.
I urge you to visit [link removed] [ [link removed] ] to see how your U.S. Representative and Senators are performing. And when you do, I also encourage you to e-mail your elected officials directly from the site – congratulating or condemning them for their ratings.
John, telling your congressional delegation [ [link removed] ] that you are paying attention to how they vote on issues that affect your wallet is the best way to hold them accountable.
Sincerely,
Thomas A. Schatz, President
P.S. John, please help us spread the word about CCAGW's "Congressional Ratings "so more Americans can hold their elected officials accountable for their voting records on spending and taxes. Forward this message to your friends, colleagues, and neighbors [ mailto:Enter e-mail address here?subject=Before%20You%20Vote%3A%20%20Find%20Out%20How%20Your%20Members%20of%20Congress%20Stack%20Up!&body=The%20Council%20for%20Citizens%20Against%20Government%20Waste%20(CCAGW)%20has%20just%20released%20its%20annual%20Congressional%20Ratings!%20Check%20them%20out%20here%3A%20http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ccagwratings.org ].
