Dear John,

In a major victory for American workers, businesses, and the economy, the Senate yesterday passed President Trump’s landmark trade deal, the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), by a vote of 89 to 10. Since the House of Representatives passed the agreement last December, the USMCA has now been fully ratified by the U.S. Congress!

I would like to thank CCAGW’s members and supporters for sending more than 6,000 letters to their members of Congress in favor of the agreement. Your participation was critical in getting this major trade deal across the finish line.

As I have mentioned before, the USMCA is the most significant trade deal in the past 25 years. It is projected to generate $68 billion in new economic activity and create at least 176,000 new American jobs – exactly what our economy needs to keep growing.

The U.S. and Mexico have now both ratified the USMCA, and Canada is expected to approve the trade agreement in the coming weeks.

Thank you again for helping us achieve this monumental victory!

Sincerely,

Thomas A. Schatz, President
