Comrades and Friends,

We bring you best wishes for the New Year and exciting DSA news. This August, delegates from around the country will gather in Chicago for the biennial DSA National Convention to chart the course of our socialist future! While that may seem a long way off there is much we must do in preparation.

* First, you are enthusiastically encouraged to join DSA’s biggest-ever Zoom call:
+ The Future of DSA: A National Political Committee Debate, Thursday, January 26^th at 6:00 pm MT. To register for the call, please go to: [link removed]
* Convention preparations aside, the national DSA Labor Committee is launching a new labor solidarity initiative it calls DSA Labor Corps. Learn about Labor Corps and other ideas to help Santa Fe DSA support labor organizing in our region by joining a national call this Monday, January 23 at 6:00 pm MT.

* Also, our first Santa Fe DSA general meeting of 2023 will be 2:00 PM Sunday January 29 at 6600 Valentine Way (old YMCA bldg across from the Southside Library behind the new teen center under construction).
+ Please respond to this email with agenda item suggestions.
+ Items already suggested include the February membership drive, our internal democratic decision-making, and solidarity/coalition building with local left/prog orgs.
+ One certain agenda item will be our chapter elections at the end of February. The list of offices and nomination procedures will be presented at the January 29 meeting and in future emails.
