Five Decades of Trailblazing
From the beginning, TPL has done things a little differently. We
catalyzed a unique style of land conservation that puts people at the
center of our mission. That makes all the difference.

Protecting America's Utopia: Zion National Park
Ensuring access to beloved parts of Zion National Park certainly rises
to the top of things we're proud of achieving in our first 50 years.
We've worked to protect special places like the Zion Narrows
Trail, Kolob Terrace, Tabernacle Dome, and more. As the second most
visited national park in the U.S., we're honored to have played a role
in its preservation.

Honoring Our Aloha ʻĀina Founders

We would like to honor and thank two kūpuna (elders) who inspired, guided, and set the foundation of TPL's Aloha ʻĀina program in Hawaiʻi: Dr. Noa Emmett Auwae Aluli (1944-2022) and Colette Yvette Piʻipiʻi Machado (1950-2022). It is their deep aloha (love) for the land that drives our work in our Aloha ʻĀina program.
