Friend,

The reverberations are still being felt across the country and gun industry from the ATF's announcement of their final rule regarding pistol braces last week.

This rule is just as bad as we expected, but somehow even more confusing and convoluted than we anticipated, and that is saying a lot coming from the state's bureaucracy.

We are going to break down what we know so far, but before we get into that you need to hit that big red button below and contact your representatives and DEMAND they reign in this rabid bureaucracy.

It is vital that they hear from you constantly, don't let up at this critical time!

STOP THE PISTOL BRACE BAN! <[link removed]>

So far, this is what we know. The worksheet point system is gone and has been replaced with a "factor" system.

Factors are:

- Is the firearm equipped with an "accessory, component, or other rearward attachment (e.g., a “stabilizing brace”) that provides a surface area that allows the weapon to be fired from the shoulder"

- "Whether the weapon has a weight or length consistent with the weight or length of similarly designed rifles"

- "Whether the weapon has a length of pull, measured from the center of the trigger to the center of the shoulder stock or other rearward accessory, component or attachment (including an adjustable or telescoping attachment with the ability to lock into various positions along a buffer tube, receiver extension, or other attachment method), that is consistent with similarly designed rifles"

- "Whether the weapon is equipped with sights or a scope with eye relief that require the weapon to be fired from the shoulder in order to be used as designed"

- "Whether the surface area that allows the weapon to be fired from the shoulder is created by a buffer tube, receiver extension, or any other accessory, component, or other rearward attachment that is necessary for the cycle of operations"

- "The manufacturer’s direct and indirect marketing and promotional materials indicating the intended use of the weapon; and"

-  "Information demonstrating the likely use of the weapon in the general community."

If your first reaction is "What the fuck is this?", you are not alone.

While it is unsurprising that the agency that brought you Ruby Ridge and Waco would have difficulty constructing a logical product, this is still bad, even for them.

We are left with more questions than answers. What are the specific measurements for the "lengths of pull"? What the fuck does "likely use of the weapon in the general community" mean? Who lost their damn mind and allowed this to be released?

TAKE ACTION AGAINST THE BUREAUCRACY! <[link removed]>

Ultimately, regardless of how they try and explain it (emphasis on try), the bottom line is pistol braces as we know them are out.

The 40+ million people with these have been given 5 official options.

- Take the bait and register your firearms with the ATF. We all know where this leads.

- Dismantle the firearm and render the brace inoperable and unable to be reattached.

- Completely destroy the firearm.

- Turn the firearm in and give it to the government.

- Modify the firearm and install a barrel over 16 inches.

Your 6th, unofficial option, is to do nothing and risk becoming a felon in the eyes of the state.

None of this sits well with us, so we are not going to let up the pressure until this rule change is completely reversed and the process in which it and other law-changing actions like it was done, is eliminated.

However, none of this will be possible unless you help us!

You can do that by taking action on this email and future emails, as well as contributing to our litigation fund here <[link removed]>, so we can take this fight all the way to the finish.
