Minnesota lawmakers held a hearing on two bills included in an omnibus pro-voting reform package that would permit 16- and 17-year-olds to pre-register to vote and restore voting rights after incarceration for a felony conviction. Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon (D) and numerous citizens spoke in favor of both bills. [link removed]

The New York State Senate approved a series of pro-voting reforms. The bills give counties permission to open more drop boxes, make voter suppression a punishable offense and more. [link removed]
