The 118th Congress   Howdy Texan, This week, we kicked off the 118th Congress. While the vote for the new Speaker of the House is ongoing, one thing is clear, the American people voted for a Republican majority in the House to put an end to President Biden's damaging agenda. I am confident that House Republicans will unite for that common goal. With a new Congress and new congressional districts, I have many new constituents, so I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself, my office, and the services we offer. ABOUT ME I am your U.S. Representative John Carter. Some of you may know me as “Judge” because of the time I served as judge of the 277th District Court in Williamson County. I serve on the House Appropriations Committee and the Steering Committee, which determines what House committees Republican members will sit on.
