Our Gratitude for You in 2023
2023 is likely to be another hard year. There is so much to focus on: containing the ongoing COVID pandemic, training and supporting health workers, saving lives in humanitarian emergencies, as well as providing maternal, newborn and child health care... just to name a few.
But I know that we will meet these challenges because I saw the impact of our work together in every interaction I had in 2022. Wherever Project HOPE was present, you could see the difference in the care being provided. I saw the gratitude of the doctors and nurses when they received the tools they needed to save more lives. I saw it in a mother's eyes when her children got better because of therapeutic food we provided.
None of this would have happened without the amazing generosity of our community of supporters, as well as the incredible dedication of our teams risking their own health and well-being for this work every day. Because of their commitment to providing care worldwide, we reached our HOPE for the Holidays Matching Gift goal -- and will continue to give children, families and communities hope for better days ahead in 2023.
It may be harder to look at the world today and take heart. But as I reflect on everything Project HOPE accomplished this past year with your help, I see the the best of what humanity can be. The challenges we face in 2023 are each a powerful reminder of why it's so vital that we keep going.
