After a welcome break over Christmas, it’s good to be back - energised and ready to fight our best ever London Mayoral campaign.  I want to share with you our plans for between now and 7 May.

Last week, my team and I held a briefing for local party leaders across London. I was so pleased to see that the room was packed, with over 100 leading activists in attendance and representation from every borough.

The positivity in the room was fantastic - reflecting the fact that many local parties across the capital had increased vote shares and were now keen to build on those results.  

We will be running an exciting campaign: doing things differently, taking risks and challenging local parties to come up with their own innovative ideas. Keep an eye out for bold billboards like this coming soon:



My message to Londoners is this: We all love London. But too many things are not working. From knife crime and homelessness to our toxic air - it can and must be better.  I will deliver a safer, kinder and greener London.

That’s the thinking behind our slogan, Love London Better, which has already gone down well with members of the public.  The clock is ticking and I now need your help to get our message out to as many Londoners as possible. Here’s how you can help:

- Deliver Leaflets: Local Parties have already ordered a record-breaking 750,000 of our launch leaflets. Contact your local party to help us get them out.
- Join Gold Squad: If you’re not active in your local party, join the Gold Squad <[link removed]> and you can keep up with our team’s creative activities across London
- Come to HQ Drop-Ins: Every Tuesday at 6pm we host two volunteer sessions at Lib Dem HQ in Westminster. Join us for Phone Banking or Digital Doorstep activities.
- Attend Training:Join our training on Wed 29th January <[link removed]>to improve your doorstep conversations or learn how to canvass for the first time.

I’m so excited to get going with this campaign. It’s a different election with a different voting system and, together, I know we can change London for the better.
