STATE OF OCPAC FOUNDATION Published Monday, January 2, 2023 WE ARE MEETING This Wednesday at NOON Central Oklahoma Home Builders THE STATE OF THE FOUNDATION 2023 WHAT WE HAVE ACCOMPLISHED WHERE WE ARE GOING by Foundation President, Bob Linn Our future rests on the impact we are having on Oklahoma's youth. My seven-year-old grandson thought it important to stand with me last Wednesday and brought a rousing applause when he answered my political query. Regrettably, he is back in Colorado and will not join us this week. For a number of years, we have pushed initiatives to return authority over the family's educational dollars to the family. No people are a free people when their government requires them to forfeit their own educational dollars to institutions controlled by government. While we call ourselves the land of the free, until we terminate the government's authority to use a family's money to fund a government educational program, we are under a tyranny. Our founders, in another context, called that taxation without representation. We fought a war over the issue. It is clear that political realities and the elections that shape those realities are grounded in the nature of the people of any given society. As Christianity blossomed in Europe, men and women began to re-think the role of government. It was the work of Columbus, the Puritans, and the Pilgrims which laid the foundation for a concept of government which required great sacrifice and leadership to establish. Because our constitution works only for a Christian & moral people, it is in jeopardy today. The solution is an effort to restore the spiritual, Christian, and cultural foundations of society, beginning in Oklahoma. We must restore the integrity of education from kindergarten through our colleges and universities. We must rally the troops to get all this done. We have made a great deal of headway in 2022. This Wednesday, we will unfold what is before us in 2023 and the roles played by both the OCPAC Foundation and OCPAC Action. Joining me will be Senator Shane Jett, Bott Radio's Joseph Palmer, a representative from the the oil & gas industry, and Wade Burleson. We will talk about our video production, radio broadcasting, textbook writing, school boards, and what OCPAC Action will be doing. Please bring your friends, family, church leaders, and your pastors! Table of Contents WADE BURLESON The New Years Message of Charles Haddon Spurgeon LAST WEEK Space Force Commander Matthew Lohmeier Attorney General John O'Connor WADE BURLESON Chairman of the Board NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS from The Prince of Preachers CHARLES HADDON SPURGEON June 19, 1834 - January 31, 1892 Charles Haddon Spurgeon preached to a 5,500-member church in London for 28 years. Spurgeon remains highly influential among Christians of various denominations, among whom he is known as the "Prince of Preachers". He was a strong figure in the Reformed tradition, opposing the liberal and pragmatic theological tendencies in the Church of his day. LONDON'S METROPOLITAN TABERNACLE The church had 5,500 members and the auditorium seated 6,000. Charles Spurgeon led the Metropolitan Tabernacle of London from 1853 to his death in 1892. He preached before British Prime Ministers and the Royal Family. The last New Year's message Spurgeon preached was in 1892. He said: Let me tell you, in a few words, what I see as I look into the new year. Notice that Mr. Spurgeon resolved to "see" and not "be." Spurgeon sought to see in the new year: God’s Sovereignty “I see a highway cast up by the foreknowledge and predestination of God." “Nothing of the future is left to chance; nay, not the falling of a sparrow nor the losing of a hair is left to haphazard, but all life events are arranged and appointed. The Lord has ordained our path in his infallible wisdom and infinite love.” God's Guidance “I see a Guide provided as our companion along the way. To Him we gladly say, ‘Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel.’ ” He is waiting to go with us through every portion of the road. ‘The Lord, He it is that doth go before thee; He will be with thee, he will not fail thee.’ We are not left to pass through life as though it were a lone wilderness. Jesus says, ‘I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.’ ” God's Strength “Beside the way and the Guide, I perceive very clearly, by the eye of faith, strength for the journey provided. There is a hospice on every pass over the Alps of life and a bridge across every river of trial which crosses our way to the Celestial City. Holy angels are as numerous to guard us as fallen ones to tempt us. We shall never see need which our gracious Father has furnished no supply.” God Glorified “This year we trust we shall see God glorified by us and in us. If we realize our chief end, we reach our highest enjoyment. It is the delight of the renewed heart to think that God can get glory out of such poor creatures as we are.” __________ Whatever is before us in 2023, let's follow Spurgeon's example. I resolve to see God’s sovereignty and rest in Him. I resolve to see God’s guidance and follow Him. I resolve to see God’s strength and rely on Him. I resolve to see God’s glory and live for Him. I praise God for the work He is doing in our midst. ____________ Christianity is the very foundation of human thought. It is the foundation of free & prosperous societies. We are in desperate need of returning our nation and our state to Biblical foundations. Thank you for your activism. _________ I'll see you at this Wednesday's luncheon! 11:00 AM Doors open 11:30 AM Lunch NOON to 1:15 PM Meeting Central Oklahoma Home Builders Association 420 East Britton Road, OKC, OK 73114 God bless! LAST WEEK COMMUNISM IN THE U.S. MILITARY Former Space Force Commander, Matthew Lohmeier, revealed the shocking developments which have taken place within the U.S. military. Marxist ideology has a stronghold over all our bases. Encouraging is the number of military from the highest to the lowest ranks who are not sympathetic with the new Wokism. Matt sacrificed an extraordinary future with the military and in government in order to expose what is happening. Christian patriots filled the History Center's Chesapeake room to hear first-hand where we are in our military's policy on communism and Marxism. Many gave to the cause and received an autographed book from Matt. He is committed to the fight and we hope to partner with him. This presentation represents confirmation from the inside of the U.S. military. It contains information no other high-ranking member of the military dares to provide. Under the current administration, to speak out, even respectfully, means the end of a career. Commander Lohmeier's presentation is highly respectful and well documented. Under the Biden administration, it meant he was no longer welcome in the armed services.
