WHAT WE HAVE ACCOMPLISHED
WHERE WE ARE GOING
by Foundation President, Bob Linn
Our future rests on the impact we are having on Oklahoma's youth. My seven-year-old grandson thought it important to stand with me last Wednesday and brought a rousing applause when he answered my political query. Regrettably, he is back in Colorado and will not join us this week.
For a number of years, we have pushed initiatives to return authority over the family's educational dollars to the family. No people are a free people when their government requires them to forfeit their own educational dollars to institutions controlled by government.
While we call ourselves the land of the free, until we terminate the government's authority to use a family's money to fund a government educational program, we are under a tyranny. Our founders, in another context, called that taxation without representation. We fought a war over the issue.
It is clear that political realities and the elections that shape those realities are grounded in the nature of the people of any given society. As Christianity blossomed in Europe, men and women began to re-think the role of government. It was the work of Columbus, the Puritans, and the Pilgrims which laid the foundation for a concept of government which required great sacrifice and leadership to establish.
Because our constitution works only for a Christian & moral people, it is in jeopardy today. The solution is an effort to restore the spiritual, Christian, and cultural foundations of society, beginning in Oklahoma.
We must restore the integrity of education from kindergarten through our colleges and universities. We must rally the troops to get all this done.
We have made a great deal of headway in 2022. This Wednesday, we will unfold what is before us in 2023 and the roles played by both the OCPAC Foundation and OCPAC Action.
Joining me will be Senator Shane Jett, Bott Radio's Joseph Palmer, a representative from the the oil & gas industry, and Wade Burleson. We will talk about our video production, radio broadcasting, textbook writing, school boards, and what OCPAC Action will be doing.
