We have to stop this guy.? ? ? ? ? Friend ? this is bad. Trump has just extended the position for William Pendley ? the temporary head of the Bureau of Land Management ? who'd famously argued to "sell all BLM lands E. of the Mississippi."

He's an adamant climate change denier, and has referred to undocumented immigrants as "a cancer."

A few months back, LCV members stepped up in a big way to fight his initial nomination. It's been working ? the Trump administration has never put Pendley up for the permanent role. But now they're trying to extend his tenure at BLM ? without an official nomination or congressional approval.

I hope we can count on your support, friend. Before Pendley took over as acting head of BLM, he attacked BLM publicly, and repeatedly sided with oil and gas companies to advocate selling off public lands.

Removing Pendley from office is a big fight, but it's one we can't lose. Protecting sacred lands like the Grand Canyon and Bears Ears from mining or oil drilling is just too important.

We can't let this anti-public lands extremist lead the very federal agency in charge of protecting public lands.

We have to move quickly, though.
