And an End of Year Reading List! November/December 2022 As 2022 winds down, PRA is looking back at our highlights. PRA diversified our media publishing this year, making our research accessible in myriad ways. We published three animations on Project Blitz, The America First Movement, and The Tanton Network. We launched our 101 explainer guides—-simplified, definitional resources on various right-wing movements of disproportionate influence. We published 101s on the Anti-LGBTQ Right, Far-Right Sheriffs, and Dominionism. Around the midterm elections, we published a map tracking the Electoral Far-Right, with in-depth analysis of what the Electoral Far-Right is, and what the wins and losses in their races mean for American democracy. We launched our inaugural Inform Your Giving series, a political education series for donors to provide them with information about the Right that they might need in order to sharpen their giving strategies with the goal of blocking anti-democratic forces and building a more just and inclusive democracy. Our webinar series returned this fall with roundtable discussions on sex education in a post-Roe world, and moving beyond the hate frame, based on PRA’s framework that deploys language other than “extremism” or “hate” in order to pinpoint the larger systemic forces at play in restricting rights. Stay tuned for part three of the series in the new year. As we gear up for the next year, PRA would like to thank you, our supporters, for continuing to engage with our work. We look forward to bringing you more in 2023! In solidarity, The PRA Team In Case You Missed It PRA hosted an end of year celebration, Rooted in Resistance, where we recapped our success in blocking the Right in 2022. Watch here! UPDATE! Our map tracking the Electoral Far Right has been updated to reflect the wins and losses of far-right candidates. The accompanying analysis explains the impacts of these races on American democracy. The Russian Patriarch Just Gave His Most Dangerous Speech Yet — And Almost No One in the West has Noticed By Katherine Kelaidis Throughout 2022, Katie Kelaidis published consistent insightful reporting on the war in Ukraine. By Annika Brockschmidt This past year, the Right continued to push the bounds of acceptable political discourse, thanks in no small part to the work of pundits like Marjorie Taylor Greene. Annika Brockschmidt has produced incredible reporting as a watchdog of America’s slide toward fascism.
