The state of Utah is trying to shrink two national monuments
The state of Utah is leading on two lawsuits challenging President Biden’s restoration of Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monuments. The lawsuits also attack a bedrock law that protects some of the nation’s most vulnerable and sacred places. We’re stepping in alongside Tribes and other conservation groups to defend these monuments against these suits. Read more: [link removed]
How the biodiversity crisis impacts us all

A fossil fuel company wanted to dig up a Superfund site in Texas. Gulf communities fought back.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is considering a plan to dredge the Matagorda Bay shipping channel to allow oil tankers as long as football fields to pass through. The proposed project would stir up toxic mercury from a Superfund site and imperil the livelihoods of locals. After community uproar, the project has been halted so the Army Corps can conduct a proper environmental review. Read more: [link removed]

Getting off fossil fuels — and saving money — just got a lot easier. If you’re looking to upgrade your home to be cleaner and more energy efficient, the federal government is offering some massive discounts starting in 2023 thanks to the newly enacted Inflation Reduction Act.
