Dear John,
WE DID IT [4]! Thanks to your tireless efforts making phone calls, sending
emails, posting to social media, and attending virtual and in-person
meetings with the U.S. Congress, we have beat back the dirty deal for a
THIRD time! In a Senate vote last night, Senator Manchin’s dirty
permitting bill only acquired 47 of the 60 votes needed to add the
amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (see video of vote here
[5]). While we know permitting reform efforts are far from done, we can
celebrate today with the reassurance that our grassroots power is a potent
force for protecting our communities and safeguarding key environmental
policies!
ONE LAST ACTION for 2022…
In our celebrations, we have 10 Senators to thank for standing up for
frontline communities and protecting landmark environmental policy. CAN YOU
GIVE THEM A CALL TODAY AND EXPRESS YOUR APPRECIATION?
TIM KAINE (D-VA)
JEFF MERKLEY (D-OR)
BERNIE SANDERS (I-VT)
TAMMY DUCKWORTH (D-IL)
BOB MENENDEZ (D-NJ)
CORY BOOKER (D-NJ)
ELIZABETH WARREN (D-MA)
MARKEY (D-MA)
DEBBIE STABENOW (D-MI)
RAPHAEL WARNOCK (D-GA)
