This holiday season we hope that you will join us by choosing to shop at BIPOC and LGBTQ+ owned businesses.

John –

As the holiday season approaches, our team at the Campaign for Southern Equality has been thinking more and more about what equality looks like during our shopping season.

I know that BIPOC and LGBTQ+ owned businesses face an uphill battle when competing in the marketplace, sometimes because of discrimination. This holiday season we hope that you will join us in making a concerted effort to Shop for Equality by choosing to shop at BIPOC and LGBTQ+ owned businesses. ([link removed])

There are many BIPOC and LGBTQ+ owned businesses throughout the South and we’ve chosen to partner with a few of them this year to share with you their individual experiences. This week across our social media platforms, you will get to hear about the teams at Noir Collective, Trade and Lore, and Charis Books and More to learn about their experiences of what it’s like to start and run a BIPOC and/or LGBTQ+ business in the South. We have also partnered with Chestnut and Corner Kitchen who show what it means to be an ally and to lead with your values.

When you shop here this week, December 12 through 18, these business partners will donate a portion of their proceeds to the Campaign for Southern Equality to continue our fight for LGBTQ+ equality throughout the South.

I hope that you will join us in supporting these businesses and others that are BIPOC-and LGBTQ+ owned, or have participated in Shop for Equality in the past. By choosing to shop at these businesses, you are not only supporting the owners and their employees, but also supporting the fight for equality. Let's show our support for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities during this holiday season and beyond. Together, we can make a difference.

You can learn more about these amazing businesses here and see past partners in Shop for Equality. ([link removed])
