surrounding landscape with over 40,000 oil and gas wells that are completely wrecking this beautiful historic landscape and polluting

If we’re going to save what’s left of these ancestral lands and preserve this
national landmark, it’s CRITICAL that the DOI moves forward with the Honor Chaco Initiative -- a plan to improve legacies of exploitation and extraction and defend tribes
of frontline Indigenous peoples in the Greater Chaco Region, including a ban on oil, gas, and mineral development.
