URGENT ACTION NEEDED: The fossil fuel industry’s reckless FRACKING is DESTROYING the historic Chaco Canyon!

Chaco Culture National Historical Park in New Mexico is home to thousand-year-old rock engravings and ancient buildings of native Pueblo and Navajo ancestors. It’s one of the most culturally and archaeologically significant places in the world.

But the fossil fuel industry is threatening to DAMAGE this precious landmark forever with its destructive fracking. Big Oil has already claimed 91% of the public lands in the Chaco Canyon Region, and we MUST take urgent action to protect what remains of this UNESCO World Heritage site. Please, Friend, add your name NOW to defend Chaco Canyon against the fossil fuel industry’s corporate GREED -- before it’s too late >>

Right now, fossil fuel corporations have infiltrated Chaco Canyon and the surrounding landscape with over 40,000 oil and gas wells that are completely wrecking this beautiful historic landscape and polluting local communities.

We cannot allow Big Oil to continue harming the land, air, water, health, and cultural resources of the Greater Chaco Region.

If we’re going to save what’s left of these ancestral lands and preserve this national landmark, it’s CRITICAL that the DOI moves forward with the Honor Chaco Initiative -- a plan to improve legacies of exploitation and extraction and defend tribes of frontline Indigenous peoples in the Greater Chaco Region, including a ban on oil, gas, and mineral development.

The deadline to take action has been extended, so you still have time to make a difference in preserving what’s left of these sacred lands -- but only until 11:59pm TONIGHT. Can we count on you to step up and take action right away? SIGN NOW to STOP Big Oil from destroying Chaco Canyon >>

Thank you for protecting our public lands,
Friends of the Earth
