Entering year ten of Maya Q'eqchi' plaintiffs v. Hudbay Minerals Lawsuits

Lawsuits against Hudbay Minerals are for: the 2009 murder of Adolfo Ich, the 2009 shooting-paralyzing of German Chub, and the 2007 gang-rape of 11 women by marauding gangs of company security guards, Guatemalan soldiers & police during illegal-violent eviction of ‘Lote 8‘ village.

In February of 2019 an article about these lawsuits was published in the Globe and Mail. We published a newsletter about the article here ([link removed]) .
