And Updates

This year, 56 NAL alumni owned their power and potential in our democracy by running for office, winning, and becoming the leaders their communities need.
From school boards and city councils to state legislatures and Congress, NALpistas like Yadira Caraveo stepped up to run for office, becoming the first Latina to represent Colorado in Congress. In Alaska, Genevieve Mina decided to move from serving as a legislative aide and community advocate to running for office, becoming one of the youngest serving members of Alaska State House of Representatives. And in Ohio, Munira Abdullahi broke barriers as the first Somali American and Muslim woman ever elected to the Ohio state legislature.
We think you should join them. The first step? Joining us at one of our 2023 training programs! [[link removed]] By attending one of our in-person trainings, you'll learn how to own your power, share your authentic New American story, connect and engage with voters, fundraise, and get ready to shake up politics as usual.
